Excellent customer service and friendly staff. We felt very welcomed. The ambiance is gorgeous, modern nature inspired. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. We loved the outside garden with rhe sounds of nature in the background. Everything was just done beautifully. The serve was outstanding! Very attentive and patient staff. The food hit another mark! Delicious, flavorful, and good portion sizes. The fried cauliflower was my favorite. It had so much flavor and crispiness. I was so tempted to order another. The cherry tart was delicious, a very nice balance of svory and sweet. Definitely recommend making reservations. Parking on the street is scarce.

Suraya’s brunch tasting menu doesn’t just feed you—it seduces you. Right out the gate, the five mezze starters arrive like an edible jewel box. Each dish shines on its own, and together they hit every flavor profile: creamy, smoky, bright, tangy, spiced. Let’s break it down: • The hummus is thick and confident—more of a dip you respect than slather. • The baba ganoush? So smoky it lingered in my mouth like a last good kiss. • The muhammara (roasted red pepper and walnut, topped with pomegranate) was deep and sweet, with a texture I wish more spreads dared to have. • The labneh had that perfect tang from the yogurt, lightened by cucumber, tomato, a sprinkle of za’atar, and the tiniest flirtation of mint. • And I don’t even like tabbouleh, but theirs hit different—slightly sweet, heavy on the parsley, citrus notes up front. It made me rethink the entire dish. The pita comes hot, wrapped in paper bags, soft and warm like it just came out of the oven—because it probably did. We had enough of everything to box up leftovers, and that’s saying something. Then came the sumac-spiced French fries—and look, I’m just gonna say it: these are the best seasoned fries I’ve ever had. Period. It’s not just the sumac—it’s the texture. Crispy outside, creamy inside. Seasoning and mouthfeel on a different level. Don’t sleep on these. I ordered the Turkish eggs, which are built for dipping: poached eggs swimming in dill yogurt and Aleppo butter. Rich, indulgent, and 100% worth every bite. My friend got the shakshuka, which I got to taste—bright and balanced, though I would’ve loved just a little more tomato sauce to drag my pita through. Still, I’d happily order either again. We wrapped it up with pastries. My friend went crazy for the cherry cheese danish—not really my thing, but to each their own. What blew me away was the chocolate halva croissant. Never had one before, and now I’m gonna crave it like a sugar-coated fever dream. If you love halva? Don’t even think—just get it. We sat at the bar, which gave us a front-row seat to the kitchen in motion. Watching the crew prep, spice, plate, and serve—it was like culinary theater, but everyone in the cast is actually talented. And the service? Flawless. You don’t have to ask for a thing—it just shows up in front of you. That level of attentiveness without being pushy is rare. This was, hands-down, the best brunch I’ve had in Philly all year. From the food to the ambiance to the effortless service, Suraya doesn’t miss. It’s perfect for groups, dates, or anyone who wants to eat like royalty in a space that feels like a garden oasis.

Came on a Friday night in March. Has a cozy yet bustling vibe. On Friday nights (and Saturdays apparently) is “Taste a Suraya” only. A pre fix menu $78/person as the only choice. Kind of limited but for a plant based person like me, they were accommodating. We were seated in the dining room. But the Chef’s Counter and the Bar are far more exciting to dine at. There is a ton of seating! so if they are booked up, the wait is not that long. The food was good, beautiful presentation.

The food was amazing, each bite was so flavorful. I went with a party of 4 via reservation on a friday night. They offer the taste of suraya only on weekends. We were able to try 5 dips, 4 apps, 4 mains, and 3 chef's choice desserts for $78 each!! Such a great deal especially for such delicious food. I would go back with more friends just to have them experience this place.

First time here with a friend and we were both excited to try the tasting menu! You share about 4-5 dips and each pick your own app and entree. Personally I liked the hummus dip the best but each dip was freshly made and fun to try. We both picked veggie based apps to keep the meal lighter and for some local fresh veggie tastes. There is an add on for some of the apps which is not labeled in the tasting menu but likely the ones that your waiter will "recommend." Ours ended up being a $5 up charge which is not a big deal but would've been nice to know. We sat by the chefs counter and it was fun to see pita being freshly baked as well as dishes being made and served. Our entrees were delicious - we had the branzino fillet (sear is 10/10) and slow roasted duck which melted in your mouth. Dessert was a pistachio strawberry tart and lemon blueberry verbana dessert (not always on the menu, chefs choice) with mint ice cream. The atmosphere was nice, and staff are great. The food is pricey as you are paying a premium to try many dishes. This is a great place for date night.

Went for their brunch tasting menu and really loved it. Service was attentive and very accommodating to our wishes. The starters were very tasty and fulfilling. The pita is delicious and served fresh! We had samke harra and halabi kabab and both were really well made! The rose water lemonade was amazing too! And their bakery items also were so fresh and delicious! I was very impressed how every little detail was designed well in the ambiance. The trays the servers served with to the scented candles in the bathrooms. Everything is well thought through and upscale looking. What impressed me even more was that the napkins were spotless white and ironed! Only recommendation I have is to fix and clean the pillows in the sunroom. They are ripped and dirty. Design wise everything is extremely pleasant.

I've never eaten this type of food before in my life, and boy did it change my life when I tried it. Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made me feel welcome even though it was my first time trying this cuisine. Suraya has opened my eyes to an entirely new dining experience, and I can confidently say it’s a place I’ll be returning to again and again.
